OUR FINANCIAL GOAL /WHAT WE NEED
It will take at least $40,000 for us to support our family for the 12-month commitment we are making to them, and we are looking to our families, friends and communities for your support in reaching our financial goals. Our group is covering all the administrative and logistical costs of the sponsorship application – your donations will go directly towards supporting the family of refugees.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are working with the Unitarian Congregation of Guelph (UCG) as our Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH). Through our partners at UCG we are able to process donations in the following ways:
1. Cheque – made out to Unitarian Congregation of Guelph with Refugee Sponsorship in the memo line; mailed to Bridge to Guelph c/o 87 Essex St, Guelph, ON N1H 3K9
2. Cash – to any group member
3. E-Transfer (coming soon)
Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 and above as long as we have your full name and mailing address (including postal code). Every dollar that you donate will go directly to supporting our sponsored family.
4. VISA, MasterCard, Interac & Paypal donations can also be made through our Canada Helps Fundraising page. Tax receipts will be issued for any amount. (3.5% of your donation will go to third party processing fees)
OTHER WAYS TO HELP
Our priority at the moment is ensuring our financial commitment is secure, but we recognize not everyone is able to donate money. We are also looking for in-kind donations of new or gently-used household goods, furniture, small appliances, and so on.
